Mayweather is Right: Fighters have to clean up their own Sports

Jonathan Snowden, author of the brilliant book, Total MMA, ways in on the issues surrounding the breakdown of the Floyd Mayweather / Manny Pacquiao megafight.

While I believe Floyd is trying to wiggle out of the fight, due to his covetting of the '0' losses on his record, he's brought up a serious issue in the process, that effects all Combat Sports.

Is Manny Pacquiao, the best P4P Boxer on the Planet, who has beaten much better opposition than Floyd Mayweather Jr, jacked up on Performance Enhancing Drugs?

Now the spectre of him being a cheat has been raised, there's only one way to find out...and hopefully, get Floyd in the ring for the megafight.

Pat Buchanan's latest column, on the emergence of America's grassroots opposition to it's Ruling Class. It's this quote that struck me;

"In Europe, democracy is dead. French and Dutch voted to kill the EU constitution. The EU rechristened it the Lisbon Treaty. The Irish voted no. They were forced to vote again. The British detest it, but Gordon Brown has denied them a vote."

In the State's they have the Tea Party, Ron Paul and his Campaign for Liberty, websites like Vdare and AntiWar, and a populace ready to take to the streets.

Here? Are prols are too fixated on Reality Shows, doled up on Welfare, or addicted to petty Vices to care about opposing the Ruling Class and their New World Order.

But does the recent Facebook-inspired 'two finger salute' to Simon Cowell, offer a 'tiny' glimmer of hope for the 'distant' future?

SIR – In his discussion about a Swiss vote to ban the construction of minarets on mosques, Charlemagne mentioned the “awkward tradition of citizens’ referendums” in Switzerland (December 5th). This particular referendum was approved by a majority of 58% in Switzerland, yet surveys in Germany and other European countries have found much higher levels of support for similar propositions. What Charlemagne should have written about is: “the awkward tradition of parliamentary democracy in which politicians do not know, and do not want to know, the feelings and desires of their citizens.”

We call this freedom. For more than 30 years now Britain has dithered on just how far it is willing to move towards EU political and monetary integration, and not a single prime minister has dared to put it to referendum, even a non-binding one, for fear of a public rebuke. We call that paternalism.

On page 77 of this week's Economist, there is a great hackett job of Direct Democracy.

The Ruling Classes 'f'ing hate' Direct Democracy, and favour corrupt Representative Democracy, where Politicians make decisions aided by poisonous advice and financial bribes from lobbyists, policy twats, smug journalists, and other knobheads.

If I had to chose between the Tyranny of the Majority (the people) or the Tyranny of the Minority (politicians, pressure groups, lobbyists, newspapers, and all that pack of cnutes), give me the Dictatorship of the Proletariat anyday.

Switzerland faces backlash over minaret ban

The ruling elites of Europe hate democracy, as only evident by their reaction to the Swiss vote on banning minarets. Swiss-style Direct Democracy must really make their blood boil.

The Swiss people who voted 'Yes' have won a minor victory against the Islamic conquest and colonisation of Europe, driven not by Islamofascist imperialism, but our own cultural and political elites.

Threatening to have the EU Court, which, as far as I now, has no authority over Switzerland, overturn the referendum shows the true authoritarian colours of our elites.
